Russ Seamon, ASLA, LEED AP
Russ Seamon worked for SW+ for four summers as an intern before graduating with a Bachelors of Landscape Architecture from the University of Georgia in 2003. Returning to SW+ after graduation, he focused his career on sustainable design and smart growth oriented master planning. When out of the office, Russ is usually cooking something on the smoker, working out or spending time outdoors.

Joe Bryant, PE, MCE, LEED AP
Joe graduated with an undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering from Clemson University followed by a master’s degree from Norwich University. His career started on the northeast coast of Florida but with a growing family they decided to chase the wonderful weather, natural amenities, and lifestyle that the foothills provide. Joe has enjoyed and appreciates the substantial growth and change the Upstate has seen over his 14 years here. Joe has grown into the role of Managing Principal for the firm and is responsible for the Upstate offices of SeamonWhiteside. Outside of his working life, Joe enjoys hunting, golfing, and spending time with his wife Stacie, sons Tripp and Luke, and daughter Harper.

Jason Munday, PE
Unique to SW+, Jason holds a degree in Biological Engineering from the University of Georgia. Since graduating in 2003, he has gained significant experience collaborating with land developers, government agencies, architects, engineers, and contractors. As a registered Professional Engineer, Project Manager and Team Leader, Jason works to establish a well-defined scope of services and development program, prepare detailed construction drawings and formulate economical solutions capable of achieving the quality, budget, and scheduling objectives for a real estate development. His special areas of expertise include mixed-use, multifamily, and commercial development projects. Outside of SW+, Jason enjoys hunting, fishing, and spending time with his growing family.

William O'Neal, PE, LEED AP
William graduated from Clemson University with a Bachelor in Science Degree in Civil Engineering in 2004. He began his civil engineering career with SW+ in January of 2005. Since then, William has achieved several professional milestones; becoming LEED certified in 2009 and earning his PE license in 2010. As a Project Manager for SW+, he has worked on a wide variety of projects such as higher-ed campus facilities, single and multi-family residential developments, commercial and retail centers, including the LEED certified Rivertowne Place shopping center and the Clemson University Penley Golf Training Facility. Outside of the office, William is actively involved with the Hibernian Society, Palmetto Society, and Leadership Charleston. His hobbies include physical fitness, hunting, fishing, and of course, Clemson Football.

Stuart Whiteside, PE
Stuart is the Principal-in-Charge of SW+. He holds master and a bachelor degrees in civil engineering from Clemson University and is a registered Professional Engineer. After a number of years working at an area design firm, Stuart agreed with friend and soon to be partner Kenny Seamon, that they needed to go out on their own. Today, SW+ is one of the most respected civil engineering/ landscape architectural design firms in the Southeast. In addition to his daily office responsibilities, Stuart is active in a number of community based professional organizations, particularly the Charleston Metro Chamber of Commerce. In 2013, Stuart was named Chairman of Board of the Chamber. Since fulfilling that year long commitment he has continued to be an active member of the Chamber. Stuart’s favorite pastime is without a doubt, golf. When he isn’t hanging out with family or going to a Clemson football game, you may find him playing one of Charleston’s beautiful courses.

Charlotte
Kristen Allen
Kristen was born and raised in Columbus, OH and graduated from Virginia Tech in 2019 with a Bachelors of Landscape Architecture and minor in Urban Forestry. She moved to Charlotte after graduating and worked on single family planning and design for 3 years before joining the SW+ team. In her free time she enjoys traveling, spending time outdoors (when it’s not terribly hot and humid), keeping her houseplants alive, and being active.

Craig Berwick, PE
After earning his Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from The University of North Carolina at Charlotte, Craig entered the land development industry to design the future using both his creativity and engineering mindset. As an EIT Craig is dedicated to learning everything about the construction industry. When Craig is not at work, he enjoys playing sports, building furniture, and dog parks.

Maame Boakye-Yiadom
Maame grew up in Orange, NJ, and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT). She had 5 years of experience in civil site design in the New Jersey region prior to relocating to North Carolina. Outside of work, she enjoys traveling, reading, and exploring local hidden gems.

Andy Breit, PE
Andy grew up in Kitty Hawk, North Carolina on the Outer Banks (it’s nothing like the TV Show). He graduated from NC State University with a Civil Engineering degree in December 2016 and moved to Charlotte shortly after. When he is not working he enjoys projects around the house, cooking, sporting events (GO PACK), hiking and traveling.

Colin Brown
Colin Brown graduated from the University of South Carolina with a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics & Meteorology in 2012. After graduating Colin began working towards becoming a Jack-of-all-Trades, Master-of-All, managing and opening Jersey Mikes stores, collecting banana money at Chiquita, and then, with the largest geotechnical engineering consulting firm in Charlotte. During his time in geotech, Colin gained experience with site and infrastructure design as well as construction administration of commercial and large scale industrial projects located around the North and South Carolina Piedmonts. In his free time, Colin enjoys being outdoors whether it be biking, landscaping, golf, watching and playing sports, or hanging out by a fire all night.

Taylor Critcher, PLA
Taylor graduated from the Landscape Architecture department at Clemson University in 2011 with a BLA and a minor of Horticulture. After interning with Walt Disney’s Horticulture department in Orlando, FL, Taylor moved to Charleston to begin working with Designworks, LLC, gaining practical experience on projects ranging from renovation of Colonial Lake in the historic district of the peninsula city to landscape enhancement of the Septima Clark Parkway. Taylor’s unique blend of plant knowledge, digital graphics, international experience, and urban design perspective made him a perfect match for the growing SW+ professional team, which he joined in 2013. Outside of the office, Taylor enjoys photography, traveling and any excuse to get to the golf course or beach.

Jim Donahoe
Jim is a graduate of Drafting Design school in 1982. Since graduation he has served in both US Navy and US Coast Guard when he resigned his commission in 1996. Jim is both a pilot and US Merchant Marine Captain and has visited many ports across the world. Jim has worked in Civil engineering and construction over the last 30 years where he has been involved in some high-profile projects, like the Quail Hollow golf course for the PGA Championship. He enjoys his time in the field and seeing projects through to completion. When not at work, he enjoys all kinds of outdoor activities, like fishing, sailing, and flying.

Jake Esposito
Jake attended Frostburg State University where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Analysis and Planning, Geography with a concentration in Mapping Sciences, and Earth Science in 2015. He has since worked on a design team in support of a variety of projects in Residential, Commercial, and Industrial projects in the Civil Engineering field. He has a passion in both Civil Engineering and Landscape Architecture and looks to be a liaison between the two disciplines as projects move through the permitting and design processes. Outside the office Jake enjoys Beach Volleyball, Line Dancing, and Camping.

Parker Evans, EIT
Parker grew up in Spartanburg, South Carolina. He graduated from the University of South Carolina in 2022 with a degree in Civil Engineering. After graduation Parker became a SW+ intern in Greenville, SC and in August became a full-time team member in Charlotte, NC. In his free time, Parker enjoys playing golf, exploring local breweries, and spending time in the sun.

Vinny grew up in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania before attending Auburn University. After graduating, he moved to the Tampa Bay area where he has lived for the past two years. He enjoys fishing, live music and all things Pittsburgh sports!

Claire Folk, PE
Claire graduated from the University of South Carolina in the Spring of 2020 with a degree in civil engineering. (Yes, it is tough to be a Gamecock fan amongst all these Clemson grads.) After interning with SW+ in the Charlotte office, she joined the Charlotte team full-time in the summer of 2020. Claire enjoys all outdoor adventures, curling up with her cat and a good book, and trying to keep her house plants alive.

Logan Griffeth
Logan grew up in Madison County, Georgia, and graduated from the University of Georgia with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering. Shaun Hicks, PLA
Shaun graduated from Penn State University in 2012 with a degree in landscape architecture and moved to Charlotte in 2015. With over a decade of land development experience in both the public and private sectors he has worked on many types of projects including urban infill developments, high end courtyards and streetscapes, and complex multi-acre mixed use developments. He has a passion for creating experiential places and enjoys the design process using both hand rendering and 3D visualization techniques. Outside of the office Shaun enjoys adventuring with his wife and their two golden retrievers, traveling the world, and all things outdoors including snowboarding, wakeboarding, mountain biking, golfing, and hiking.

Gabriel Hoff, EIT
Gabe graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with a Minor in Mathematics from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. He began working with SW+ full time shortly after graduating in 2022. He has lived around the Charlotte area his whole life and loves everything about the city. Brandon Lathrop
Brandon is originally from Northern Virginia and graduated from Virginia Tech in 2019 with a BLA in Landscape Architecture. Following graduation, he began his career with SW+ working with a talented team of designers in the Mount Pleasant office on a wide variety of projects in the Lowcountry. After a brief spell working remotely from Crystal City, Brandon transitioned to the Charlotte office and is now a part of the rapidly growing multidisciplinary team in the city.

Trey Little, PE
Trey graduated from Clemson University in 2013 with a degree in Civil Engineering. After graduation, he worked for a local engineering firm in his hometown of Greenville, NC but in April of 2013, he made the move to Charleston to join the SW+ team. Outside of work, Trey is an avid sports fan and attends as many Clemson and ECU football games as possible. He also enjoys opportunities to visit his parents who moved from eastern North Carolina to Costa Rica in 2015.

Hailey Mays
Hailey grew up in Centereach, New York. She graduated from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte in the spring of 2025 with a bachelor’s in civil engineering and a minor in mathematics. Clinton McConnaughey-Cohens
A native resident of Charlotte, Clinton comes to SeamonWhiteside with over 20 years of administrative management experience, most recently with Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools. Clinton has managed new school building budgets, planning and vendor management from start to finish. He has also managed school and district level departments with finances, day-to-day operations, employee engagement and professionalism. Personally, he is married with a blended family of four children, two dogs, a grandson and a sister-in-law with special needs. Clinton enjoys traveling with his husband, exploring new restaurants, and spending time with his family and friends.

Matthew Meacham
Matthew graduated in 2019 from The Citadel with a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering and has been doing civil engineering work for the past 4 years. Kris Phillips
Kris brings over a decade of experience in both the public and private sectors. He began his career in 2012 as a site selection consultant and later served as Assistant Director of Economic Development for Chester County, SC, where he led efforts to secure over $2.5 billion in investment. Kris specializes in site selection, industrial recruitment, and strategic growth initiatives. He serves on the Board of Directors and Executive Committee of the South Carolina Economic Developers Association (SCEDA) and holds degrees from Clemson University and the Charlotte School of Law.

Alex Rhode, PE
Alex is originally from Miami, Florida where he had a Cuban upbringing and a steady diet of pork, rice and beans. He studied at the University of Florida where he received his bachelor’s in Civil Engineering in 2019, and has lived in Charlotte working in land development ever since. Alex has worked on a wide variety of projects in the region, from commercial mixed-use apartments to public libraries and everything in between.

Amy Sullivan
With more than 25 years of experience in construction, land development, and site design, Amy has built a strong reputation as a leader in business development and client strategy throughout the Carolinas. Prior to joining SeamonWhiteside, she held executive and leadership roles at ECS Southeast, CohnReznick, and Regus, and served as President and CEO of the Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) Carolinas Chapter. Amy’s deep industry knowledge, strategic mindset, and passion for connecting people made her a natural fit for the SeamonWhiteside team, which she joined in 2023 to lead business development efforts in the Charlotte region. Outside of the office, Amy loves being outdoors and enjoying life’s simple moments-whether that’s making memories with family and friends or adventuring with her spirited Boston Terrier, Millie Grace. Amy graduated from the Belk College of Business at UNC Charlotte with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and a concentration in Marketing.

Hunter Whitfield, PE, MBA
Hunter is a Fairfield County SC native, grew up in Blythewood SC, and attended Blythewood High School. He graduated from the University of Georgia in 2017 with a BS in Agricultural Engineering and MBA from University of South Carolina Darla Moore School of Business in 2022. He has 8+ years of experience in the civil/site development industry, primarily focusing on the industrial/economic development and commercial sectors. Andrew Ackley, PE
Andrew graduated with and undergraduate degree and Master’s degree from Clemson University in Civil Engineering. He started his career in the consulting industry in Tennessee while his wife was finishing her Doctorate in Veterinarian Medicine degree. Andrew is a licensed professional engineer. Aalaa Ajjawi, EIT
Aalaa is originally from Jacksonville, Florida. She graduated from the University of Florida in May 2023 with a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering. Go Gators! After working for a year at an AE firm in Jacksonville, she moved to the upstate and began her career with SW in 2024. Jennifer Anderssen
Jennifer grew up in both North Carolina and Florida, and after graduating from Winthrop University with a degree in Art History, made the move to Greenville and has been here ever since. She has a background in marketing and communications for both the AEC industry and the arts. Jennifer enjoys spending time with her husband and four sons, reading, musical theater, and anything vintage. In her spare time, she runs a women’s hiking group and plays the marimba in a percussion ensemble.

Isabel Baghdady
Isabel grew up in Spartanburg, South Carolina and graduated with a Bachelor’s of Landscape Architecture from Clemson in December 2024. This was the perfect career path for Isabel because it was a great way to combine her love for design and the outdoors. Isabel is excited to stay in Upstate SC and join the Greenville office. Outside of work, Isabel enjoys hiking, cooking, watercolor, soccer, and spending time with friends and family.

Zach Ballard
Zachary graduated from Clemson in 2019 with a bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Mechanization and Business. A year later he began pursuing a masters of Civil Engineering, also from Clemson. For the past 8 months Zachary has interned with SeamonWhiteside in Greenville, SC and is now accepting a position as a Civil Designer I with his same team. Before this Zachary interned at Hulsey McCormick and Wallace, now KCI, a civil and environmental company. Before that Zachary worked for a local church, managed a landscape company, and served as an officer in the SC Army national guard.

Bryan Bearden, PE
Bryan is a seasoned civil design engineer with over two decades of experience in the civil engineering industry. He began his career in 2002, specializing in Geotechnical engineering, Construction Materials Testing, and Special Inspections; a field he practiced in for 14 years. In 2016, Bryan shifted his focus to land development and site design engineering; amassing 8 years of expertise in these areas. In 2024, he joined the Seamon Whiteside team, where he now applies his diverse skill set in Construction Administration.

Raphael Betit

Michael Bevacqua
Michael was born in Florida, lived in the Marshall Islands in the Pacific ocean, then moved to South Carolina. He has lived in S.C. since the third grade and fell in love with the Low Country.
He goes to the beach a lot, plays guitar, and enjoys many of the events that Greenville has to provide.
Michael went to Clemson University for Civil Engineering and graduated in the class of 2019. He is an avid book reader and loves talking about movies.

Haley Cass
Haley graduated from Clemson University with a BLA in Landscape Architecture in 2005. She interned with SeamonWhiteside while in college and joined the SW+ Mount Pleasant staff in 2006. After several years in the Lowcountry, Haley moved back to her hometown, Greenville, and joined the Greenville team in 2011. Marley Day

Alex Deane, EIT
Alex began his career with SeamonWhiteside in November of 2022 shortly after graduating from Florida Gulf Coast University in May. While working towards a BS in Civil Engineering he acquired a new skill set in material testing and verification as a geotechnical lab technician and asphalt plant inspector. After graduation he gained field experience by becoming a CEI Inspector where he worked on various FDOT and County projects that involved roadway and bridge reconstruction. Now that he has moved back to the Carolinas, he enjoys spending his free time in the mountains hiking and fishing. Other hobbies of his include working on his family farm and watching the Tampa Bay Buccaneers every Sunday during the fall.

Hannah is from Williamston, South Carolina. Her undergraduate and graduate degrees are in Landscape Architecture from Clemson University. Her interest in landscape architecture came from her father, who served as mayor of their small town, and allowed her to sit in on planning and design meetings as a teenager. She graduated from Clemson University with her Bachelor of Landscape Architecture in 2022 and went on to graduate with her Master of Landscape Architecture in 2024. Arabela Fleck
Arabela (Bela) was born and raised in Honduras. She moved to the US to earn her degree in civil engineering and a master’s certificate in communication. Living in a developing country most of her life made her passionate about water resources and specifically providing appropriate infrastructure for the growth of a community. She brings a desire to learn, and previous water related training to join the Water Resources Department in the Greenville office. Ian grew up in the greater Boston area, attended the University of Vermont for his undergrad, and recently attended Utah State University for his master’s degree. Having completed an internship with the Mount Pleasant office in the summer of 2021, he and his family are ecstatic to be returning to Mount Pleasant to start a new and exciting chapter in life. Born and raised in Conway, SC, Chris is a member of the class of Clemson University’s Bachelor of Landscape Architecture program and is the Director of Landscape Architecture for SW+’s Greenville office. Chris began his career with the firm on Halloween in 1994 working in the company’s main location in Mount Pleasant and then moving to Greenville in 2004 to open the new upstate branch. His current responsibilities include business development, land use planning, site design, community revitalization initiatives, corridor studies, and recreation planning along with assisting in design oversight and project management. Chris is the ‘seasoned professional’ of the office.

Aaron Akin, PhD
Aaron specializes in helping communities make better, more informed decisions regarding watershed management and flood mitigation. By coupling emerging technologies with innovative engineering, he is able to develop solutions for a number of resiliency problems. Aaron’s experience includes flood mitigation studies, stormwater master planning, stormwater network analysis, flood hazard mapping and analysis, instrumentation, real-time monitoring and control systems, GIS program and model development, and combined 1D/2D hydrologic and hydraulic model development and optimization.

Rusty attended Clemson University where he earned a BSCE in 2002 and a Master of Science degree in Civil Engineering in 2004. He began working with SW+ shortly after leaving college in 2004. He provides design, engineering, project management, permit services and construction administration for a wide variety of projects. Since 2008 Rusty has headed up SW+’s Construction Administration department, focusing on managing projects from the bid, construction and final close-out phases. Denise Boozer
A graduate of The College of Charleston, Denise followed her interest of wine into sales and distribution. She then moved into Management and Marketing of Craft Beer as the laws changed and breweries from all over the world began selling in South Carolina. After many eventful years, Denise stepped back to be more available for her two children, Chappell (10) and Sam (8), and husband, Thomas. Since then she has run her own consulting company helping craft breweries secure contracts and write business plans. Denise has managed the permitting for Northwest Plumbing for the last 3 years and for the last year and a half has served as the Director of Communications for a local church.

Simon started with SeamonWhiteside in January of 2025. He was born and raised in Landvetter, Sweden. Simon graduated from Clarkson University with a degree in Civil Engineering in May 2023. He has 1.5 years of civil site design in the Hampton Roads region prior to joining SW+. During his free time, he enjoys traveling, making music and playing sports. Dana Flanigan
Dana Flanigan is a native to Charleston, SC. Born and raised in the Low Country, she is a true southerner that loves anything to do with the coastal life such as fishing, boating or simply just reading a book on the beach. She is passionate about spending time with her children, Sully and Cora, as well as her family and loves to travel. Lee Gastley, PLA, LEED AP
Lee is a graduate of the University of Georgia School of Environmental Design. After graduation, he practiced resort design on Hilton Head Island for two years. In 1983, Lee was enticed by Kenny Seamon and Stuart Whiteside to become the first employee of their fledgling firm. He now serves as a managing principal of the firm, and for several years, acted as the director of landscape architecture, responsible for all aspects of the design process and staff oversight. When not busy herding cats, he enjoys golf, running, and proclaiming, “Go You Hairy Dawgs!”

Malcolm Glenn, PE
Malcolm grew up in Mt. Pleasant, just down the street from the SeamonWhiteside office, and graduated from Clemson University with a BS/MS degree in Environmental Engineering. Kendall Grumbles
Kendall is a North Carolina native who relocated to the Charleston area in late 2020 after graduating from North Carolina State University with a degree in biological and agricultural engineering. Go Wolfpack! She began her land development career by designing one of the top-rated master-planned residential communities in the Lowcountry. She’s excited to continue growing her career in Charleston, contributing to a wide variety of projects that shape the region’s vibrant and evolving landscape. When she’s not working, Kendall enjoys exploring new thrift shops, wandering around downtown Charleston, or relaxing on Sullivan’s Island with a good book.

Daniel started with SeamonWhiteside in August of 2021. He was born and raised in North Charleston, SC. River holds a B.S. in Agricultural Business Management from North Carolina State University and a Master of Landscape Architecture from Louisiana State University. After beginning his career in landscape maintenance and installation, he became drawn to the creative process behind the spaces he helped build, inspiring him to return to school to study landscape architecture.

One of two ‘double-dippers’ at SW+, David returned to SeamonWhiteside in 2015 as a Civil Engineering Field Technician after a hiatus of twenty years. During his time away, he gained valuable experience in various aspects of the construction and engineering fields, including specialized marine construction, storm water and erosion control, hydro-seeding and soil stabilization; experience he calls upon to enhance his work with the company’s Construction Administration Department today. Donald Jones
Donald launched his professional career at SeamonWhiteside in 1985. He fully committed to the firm and over the next 19 years worked his way from an Engineering Technician to Project Manager to Team Leader. In 2004 Donald left SW+ to pursue other career opportunities in land development. Fortunately, Donald “came home” in 2012, bringing a new perspective on land development and our services, as well as serving in a leadership role in the construction administration department. Currently his primary role is providing construction administration and project management. When not in the field, Donald enjoys spending time his beautiful wife.

Whitner Kane is a licensed landscape architect in South Carolina and Alabama. Originally from North Carolina, she has lived in 10 cities on two continents and is very happy to be back in Charleston and back with SeamonWhiteside. Hallee Kinikin joined SeamonWhiteside in August 2024. Ellen grew up in Clarksville, TN and came to SW+ with more than 20+ years in the accounting, finance, and customer service industry.
As an adult she lived overseas and then found her way to Boulder, Colorado where she met her husband. She has two wonderful boys and decided they needed to be raised in the South, 10 years ago she left the cold and snow for the sand and sun in Charleston, SC.

Cynthia Moore
A lifelong resident of Mount Pleasant, Cynthia has been an integral part of SW+ since April 1997. As the Administrative Assistant for the main office, she is often the first person a new client or future employee meets. Cynthia handles a number of tasks for the firm; from answering calls to typing proposals and assisting the entire staff to get submittals out the door. When asked, she says that working at SW+ is the ‘best job’ she’s ever had. In her off-time, Cynthia enjoys spending time with her husband, their three sons, and her extended family.

David Richter
David joined SW+ in 2003. He studied Civil Engineering and Computer Programming at Trident Technical College and graduated from Southern Wesleyan University with a B.S. in Business Management. David has more than 20-years’ experience working in the fields of Civil Engineering and Information Technology and holds several certifications including Microsoft’s MCSA as well as Network+, A+, and Security + from Comptia. When not troubleshooting and solving hardware, software, and network issues at SW+, David is spending time with his family which includes a teenage son and daughter. He also assists in running a martial arts studio where he studies and teaches martial arts and self-defense to both adults and children.

Kayleigh grew up in Knoxville, Tennessee. She graduated from University of South Carolina in 2021 with a degree in Transportation Engineering. Blake Thomas
Blake is a South Carolina native. Born in Spartanburg and graduated Clemson University in 2014 with a Bachelor in Landscape Architecture. JR Toribio
Upon graduation in 1984 from the University of Tennessee with a BSCE, JR moved to Mount Pleasant. For the first 13 years in the industry, he worked with a geotechnical engineering firm and Charleston Water Systems. Seeking to advance his career, JR joined SW+ in 1998. Since then, his project management and design experience has concentrated on residential subdivisions, commercial and office developments, public schools, parks and recreational complexes. JR is SW+’s Go-To guy for water and wastewater design and frequently works on water, sewer and lift station design and master planning. When not in the office, JR spends most of his time parenting two teenagers but does find time for a hobby or two. A diehard gearhead and budding technophile, his enjoys tinkering and riding anything with wheels, especially dirt bikes, and is always on the look-out for the newest electronic gadget.

Mary Tweel, PLA
Mary began her career with SeamonWhiteside in 2019 bringing 10 years’ experience in landscape architecture and urban planning with her. A graduate of LSU with a Masters of Landscape Architecture degree, Mary has worked on a variety of projects from streetscapes to parks, residential gardens and mixed use developments. In her free time, she enjoys going to power yoga, meeting up with friends at Book Club, planting new plants in the garden, and spending time with her son Miles and husband Andrew on the boat and checking out live music at the Pour House.

Bringing many years of bookkeeping experience gained in the hospitality management industry, Susanne joined SW+ as an accounting clerk in 2019. Desiring a longer warm weather season for herself and her pets than New Jersey offered, she recently made the move to Charleston. Russell White
Russell was born and raised between the Pee Dee rivers in Marion, SC. He attended Coker University and was a member of the baseball team during his 4 years there. In 2016 he was hired as a Project Representative at Hanna Engineering holding emphasis on water, wastewater, stormwater, and site development projects. Cody graduated from Clemson University in 2007 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Economics and a Minor in History. After working in the financial and distribution industries for a few years, Cody decided to pursue a Master’s Degree. He graduated with a Master of Business Administration Degree from The Citadel in 2013, and then joined SW+ as a Business Analyst. He leads the Accounting and Finance department at SW+.

Allen Forrester, PE
Allen grew up in Summerville, SC and graduated from the University of South Carolina in 2011 with a degree in Civil Engineering. Allen joined SW+ in 2024 as an accomplished Professional Engineer with him over a decade of experience designing and managing water and wastewater construction projects of all sizes. His career has spanned various fields within the privatized utility sector including capital planning and programming, master planning, modeling, permitting, system deficiency identification, and resiliency planning.

Danny Balon, PE
After a two year hiatus from SeamonWhiteside to help start the Civil Engineering department for another firm, Danny Balon has rejoined SW+ to be the Director of the Spartanburg Office. He previously worked in the SW+ Greenville office and has over fourteen years of engineering experience in upstate South Carolina. Jennifer Palmer, PE
A graduate of the University of South Carolina with a BSCE and a Master of Engineering in Civil Engineering with a specialty in Environmental and Water Resources. Jennifer joined SW+ in 1999 and received her South Carolina PE license in 2001. Among her strong suits are project management, site infrastructure design (grading, storm drainage, and water/wastewater systems, etc.) and developing construction documents. While she has designed a variety of projects including residential and commercial, her specialty is recreation design. Signature projects include the Family Circle Tennis Center on Daniel Island, Brooks Football Stadium and Adkins Field House for Coastal Carolina University, and multiple phases of the Park West Recreation Complex for the Town of Mount Pleasant. Jennifer enjoys spending her personal time with her husband Mark, son Jared, and their beloved Labrador retrievers.

Ben Brumlow
Ben served in the United States Marine Corps between the years of 2021-2025. Jonathan Crowe
Jonathan has been in the civil engineering and land surveying profession for over ten years. He began his surveying education in the United States Marine Corps Reserves learning to geonavigate, use a compass, and pace distances. This led him to follow a civilian career path in the civil engineering field, and he acquired his BSCE in 2018 from UNC Charlotte. After working for about 5 years as a cad technician and eventually as an engineering intern, Jonathan moved to the high country area of North Carolina (Avery County) and began a path focused solely on land surveying. He fell in love with the practice of using historical evidence linked to information found on the ground to solve real world problems to help landowners, developers, shareholders, and citizens of his community. He has a wife and two daughters, with another child on the way, woo-hoo! Jonathan enjoys music (playing drums in church nowadays), rock climbing and hiking (or almost any activity outdoors). He focuses on spending time with his family, friends, and anyone in his life that he can positively impact.

Konrad Opuszko
Konrad his his Bachelor’s in Exercise Science with a focus on Kinesiology from USC Upstate, where he graduated with honors. For over a decade, he’s been in the land surveying game, working on projects like boundaries, topographical surveys, ALTAs, as-builts, and tree surveys at 3d Land Surveying.
When he’s not out surveying, you’ll find him soaking up the outdoors. His dad taught him to forage for mushrooms and identify native trees and plants, which he loves. He also jams out on guitar and piano with friends and family, and is a bit of a gardening nerd—his yard is his canvas! They say he’s got a serious green thumb; stick something in the ground, and he’ll make it thrive. He’s also a water lover—swimming in any lake, river, or pool keeps him fit. He’s all about cold plunges, and back in the day, he scored a full swimming scholarship at Daytona State College.
