K-12 Schools
SW+ provided master planning, landscape architecture, and civil engineering services for the redevelopment project. All structures on the occupied site were demolished to make way for the new 900-student facility. The middle school is located on 14.5-acres in the heart of downtown Mount Pleasant. The new 120,000 SF, two-story building is
equipped with 39 classrooms several computer labs and athletics fields.
The $21 million public school opened to students in August 2009. Subsequent to completing the new construction, SW+ provided civil engineering and landscape architectural services for both a classroom expansion and an Exploratory classroom addition.
