The Carroll A. Campbell Jr. U.S. Courthouse in Greenville is a state-of-the-art 10-story federal facility designed to house seven courtrooms and nine judicial chambers, alongside dedicated spaces for essential services such as U.S. Probation, the U.S. Justice Department, and the Federal Public Defender.
SW+ spearheaded the design and documentation process for both LEED and SITES certification, ensuring the incorporation of sustainable features throughout the project. Notable elements include a greywater irrigation system fed by a rainwater cistern, innovative stormwater management solutions utilizing bioswales, a vibrant pollinator garden, and educational components focused on sustainability. With a budget of $105 million, the project broke ground in 2018 and was completed in 2021.
