SW+ was commissioned by the City of Charleston to provide master planning, landscape architecture, civil engineering, permit coordination, bid phase assistance, and construction administration services for a new active/ passive recreational park.
The 42 acre park facility, located within the planned community of Daniel Island, features a 9-acre multi-purpose lawn that will accommodate four full sized soccer fields, as well as provide open space for public events and festivals. The master plan also includes 2,000 LF of multi-purpose pervious trail, a 200 linear foot 10’ wide pedestrian bridge, lighted baseball and softball fields, press box, multi-purpose recreation building, tot-lot, picnic areas, dog park, and fishing pier.
