Recreation Center
The project is located on Fairbanks Drive adjacent to the Governors Park baseball and soccer fields on Daniel Island. The recreation center, which opened in July 2021, is the City of Charleston’s only indoor recreation facility. The 22,000 SF building houses basketball and volleyball courts, a cario and weight training, and multi-purpose rooms for meetings and classes. SeamonWhiteside provided comprehensive site civil engineering, utilties planning, stormwater management, landscape architectural services, permit coordination, and construction administration for the project.
