The Technology Neighborhood 1 Plaza (TN1) at the Clemson University International Center for Automotive Research is the common thread between each of the buildings that make up TN1, and is designed to encourage collaboration between students, faculty, employees and researchers. In keeping with the master plan objective for the unique 30-acre urban environment, sustainable plazas were created where pedestrian and vehicles coexist. The hardscape design consists of a grand plaza with specialty pavers, granite curbing, formal bosques of trees and creative approaches to stormwater management.
Recipient of the South Carolina American Institute of Architects Special Citation Award.
