Water Resources | Pump Station & Force Main
The Bees Crossing sewer pump station serves a residential subdivision located just north of Mount Pleasant (i.e., 99 lot Beehive Tract located at the corner Highway 17N and Beehive Road in Mt. Pleasant) and also acts as a regional pump for Mount Pleasant Waterworks for future flows totaling 559,000 GPD. Wastewater from Mount Pleasant Waterworks existing PS #87 and proposed flows were designed to be collected via gravity sewer lines and connect to the new pump station. Wastewater from the pump station is pumped through approximately 4,600 linear feet of 12-inch force main that will manifold to an existing 12-inch force main located on the north shoulder of Hwy 17N near the intersection of Lieben Road. The pump station was designed and sized as a variable speed duplex 1,023 GPM pump station with the ability to become a triplex station in the future.
