Chris Campeau, RLA
On Saturday, March 14, about 30 salaried employees from Pleasant Places volunteered their time, money, and effort at the new Miracle League Field in Summerville. They have contributed close to 100% of the coordination, labor and material.
Nurseries from all over the low country donated plant material, including Shady Grove, and Green Meadow (Josh) on Yonges Island. John Deere donated the irrigation supplies. All in all, it was probably a $20,000 to $30,000 effort and was quite a treat. Mike Hinson, Summerville’s director of Parks and Playgrounds grilled hamburgers and hot dogs for lunch. He was very pleased and thanked us (SW+A). Not only did it benefit Miracle League, it spruced up the rest of the park as well.
Here are a few pictures taken by Pleasant Places on Saturday. Please remember Pleasant Places and John Deer for any of your needs. Through this process, I was fortunate to get to know many of them much better, and they’ve got a great team.
